This policy explains what personal data Laundry Today ("we", "us", "our") collects when you book our same-day suitcase laundry collection and delivery service, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you make a booking, we collect:

• Your name, mobile number and email address
• The hotel or Airbnb name, room number (where given) and address or postcode for collection
• Your chosen service, suitcase count, add-ons, collection date and time window
• Payment is handled by Square — we receive confirmation that payment was successful and a payment reference, but we never see or store your full card details ourselves

We don't ask for anything beyond what's needed to collect, wash and return your laundry.

Why we process this data

• To perform the booking you've asked for — collecting, cleaning and returning your suitcase, and contacting you about collection times, delays or issues with your order (legal basis: performance of a contract with you)
• To take payment via Square (legal basis: performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in being paid for services provided)
• For accounting and legal record-keeping, such as retaining invoices for tax purposes (legal basis: legal obligation)

We don't use your data for marketing unless you separately opt in to hear from us, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary data with:

• Square, who process your payment on our behalf and may hold your name, email and payment details as part of that. Square's own privacy policy governs how they handle this.
• Square.com, who host this website and the backend that connects it to Square.

We don't share your data with any other third party, and we don't sell it.

International transfers

Square is a global payment provider and may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are used to protect your data, as required under UK GDPR.

How long we keep it

We retain booking and payment records for 2 years, after which they're deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to our legal obligation to keep certain financial records.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes in future, this policy — and a cookie consent banner — will be updated accordingly.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (access)
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data (rectification)
• Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations (erasure)
• Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing
• Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, contact us at the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've mishandled your data.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser, our website, and our service providers. Card payments are tokenised in your browser by Square and never pass through or are stored on our own servers.

Children

Our service is intended for adults booking laundry collection for themselves or their accommodation. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
